Conventional heat pads or electric blankets actively generate warmth from electricity and cool down again quickly once switched off. Firtech supports work in a fundamentally different way.
Passive instead of active
The integrated ceramic fibres (including tourmaline, magnesium and silicon oxides) absorb only your own body heat and return it as long-wave infrared radiation. No external energy source is required – the support can therefore be worn continuously, including when you are out and about.
Gentle, constant warmth
The surface temperature stays below 40°C and is typically 38–39°C – noticeably warmer than uncovered skin, but without the risk of burns associated with some electrical devices.
It usually takes 15–30 minutes for the warmth to become noticeable, depending on skin temperature and surroundings.
